Book Presentation: Political Figures for the Europe of the Future

On 15 September 2026, the Coppieters Foundation will present our 2025 publication Political Figures for the Europe of the Future at the University Library in Sassari, Sardinia.

The publication explores the ideas and political legacies of eight influential European thinkers: Camillo Bellieni, Émile Chanoux, Marianna Bussalai, Denis de Rougemont, Alfonso Castelao, Edmond Simeoni, Antonio Simon Mossa and Maurits Coppieters. Through their different perspectives and historical experiences, the book reflects on federalism, self-determination and cultural diversity, and on how these ideas can contribute to shaping a more democratic and decentralised Europe.

The presentation will provide an opportunity to discuss the relevance of these ideas for Europe today.

Where: University Library, Via Enrico Costa 57, Sassari

Language:

The event will be held in Sardignian and Corsican. No interpretation will be provided
