As the far right continues to gain ground across Europe, building democratic alternatives and strengthening anti-fascist movements has become an increasingly urgent task. How can progressive forces respond to these challenges while defending diversity, democratic participation and the rights of peoples?
As part of the 4th Antifascist Weekend, taking place in Palma, Mallorca, this two-day programme will bring together political representatives, activists and thinkers from different European territories to discuss anti-fascism, democratic renewal and the possibilities of imagining a more just and inclusive future for Europe.
The programme includes a discussion on anti-fascist perspectives for Mallorca and Europe, a workshop exploring the role of social media influencers in strengthening democracy, and a dialogue on the political and philosophical potential of utopia.
Speakers:
Workshop led by Ángela Vázquez and Sara Rivero from WOKE UP
A dialogue between Aurora Jardhi, teacher, and Eudald Espluga, philosopher, exploring the role of utopian thinking in imagining alternative political and social futures.
