Across Europe, regional and minority languages are vital cultural assets and creative elements shaping the continent’s audiovisual landscape. From film and television to streaming platforms, these languages play a crucial role in sustaining identity, diversity, and innovation. This event brings together experts, creators and policymakers to explore how regional cinema contributes to cultural resilience and European cooperation, highlighting how multilingual storytelling can strengthen communities and promote a richer, more inclusive media ecosystem.

NPLD-Coppieters Campus 2025 – Audiovisual Production in Regional and Minority Languages will take place on 6–7 November 2025 at the Plugzaal Meeting Room, Post-Plaza Hotel, Leeuwarden (The Netherlands). Over two days, participants will engage in panels, keynote presentations, roundtables, and networking sessions focused on EU policies and public initiatives supporting filmmaking in regional and minority languages. From the official launch of the Frysk Filmfûns to discussions on streaming platforms, tourism and creative collaboration, the event offers a dynamic space for dialogue committing to advancing linguistic and audiovisual diversity in Europe.
